I wear out and break thin (5mm and under) chair mats in short order with all the rolling around I do between 2 adjacent work stations every day in my HM Aeron char. The thicker (8mm) bamboo floor mat I bought stands up to my frequent motion and lasts me about 5 years of daily use (based on when I bought the first one). The only way it could be better would be to have a version with 2 1-ft tongue extensions that fit under the desks, but that would fall under a super custom order!

Super happy with this item. Delivery was quick; product is exactly as described in the Anji Mountain web site. Quite well made. My chair rolls across it very smoothly. This will afford excellent protection to the new hard floor I just installed.
